Promotional Tracking and Analysis

Promotions are assigned, sales against these discounted programs imported and costs of sales calculated to determine the contribution of these promotions to the bottom line for this large food manufacturer. Using sophisticated calculations, projected sales based on previously run promotions are extrapolated out to help the manufacturing section determine their needs for ordering, scheduling and manpower requirements. The most interesting aspect of this system is the graphical representation of promotions across a time line so the marketing and sales department can easily apply management decisions based on this data. This valuable tool also has been applied to a variety of products that have seamlessly accommodated new items not were not considered within the initial scope of this project.
